Program Reflection
“You're off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting,
So... get on your way!”
― Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You'll Go!
The Curriculum and Instruction Masters programs has helped me grow as an educator in many different ways. In this program there were many firsts… first research paper that required a literary review, first online textbook, first time building websites, first time presenting professionally, first time writing a grant, first time publishing books, first time creating a blog, etc, etc. The next goal after completing my masters is to find ways of improving my teaching craft permanently using the skills acquired in this graduate program.
I look forward to researching more methods to fine tune my teaching skills, and applying the new ones I’ve learned for years to come (such as leveled reading, whole brain teaching, book publishing). I would highly recommend this program to other students seeking to improve their teaching skills and learn how to become a more reflective educator.
